I have some news after a great phone call with Ty tonight:

I will be returning for my THIRD season at ABC Supply Stadium as a team photographer for the Beloit Sky Carp.

I shot approx a 3rd of our home games the past couple of years in support of Ty, our primary photographer, and I hope to see the gang for as much as they need me next year.

I am beyond excited to work with these great players, staff and gameday crew again.

It's been a good week so far.

I'm officially OLD!!

This is my granddaughter, River Eileen, born yesterday, 8lbs 1oz and 21 inches long.

CONGRATULATIONS to the kids, Connor and Kenzie and the brand new big sisters (Aubs and Presley).

Home after an amazingly relaxing weekend in Pray, WI (just outside Black River Falls) with my friend, Steve, at his cabin.

Fireplace, some beers, some bourbon, good conversation, solved the world's problems, shooting (killed a couple of troublesome mother boards and a bunch of clay pigeons), won first place at the renewed Pray Games Horseshoe Tourney and forgot about work for a while.

Missed Connor this year, but happy to spend time with Joshua got the weekend.

Thank you to the Reuss, Schmidt and Broehm families for making us feel welcome and included with your gang, on your land.

Again, thank you to my newly retired buddy, Steve, for sharing his cabin with us again.

No words. I finally made a 9/11 Ceremony in New York City. I did it with my blood and my fire family on the bikes, and we met up with brothers and sisters from Madison, Middleton, Mosinee and Milwaukee while in the city.

We Will Never Forget.

NYC and FDNY/NYPD/PAPD did an amazing job with all the ceremonies. I was honored to attend the 9am one in Riverside Park hosted by the 18th Battalion, then the informal one at McSorely's Tavern, and ended the day for the Sunset Ceremony at Ground Zero, the 9/11 Memorial and 10 House.

Day TWO in the books. Riding through Eastern PA today and White Plains tonight. Hopefully catching the New York Yankees tonight in the Bronx.

Great trip so far. We have viewed so much of this amazing country, from abject poverty to rich little communities tucked in the hills. I love this group.

We are missing Connor, but bringing Josh, so I have a child with me and I have my brothers, both fire and family.

9/11 is 25 years ago. What better way to remember than riding across the United States.
