Up in Fort Collins to see my son by the same name more or less, I found this face in town carved from a dead tree. The spirit within lives.

Margot and I had the distinct pleasure last night of seeing Carlos Santana at the Saenger Theater for our anniversary. The music was amazing, powerful, classic, all Carlos and his amazing group. However, the light show was best. Case in point attached.

A photograph of me and prints at Lemieux Gallery, 322 Julia Street New Orleans. If you are in town, go check them out. I feel they are the best prints I have made.

Sunday evening November 30th, I am still waiting for the shipment of Louisiana from the Sky books. For the record, I have every faith they will arrive in LFT tomorrow or Tuesday.
I have organized a good number of events for the book. They are:
Wednesday, December 3rd Octavia Books, 513 Octavia Street, New Orleans, 6 p.m.
Saturday, December 6th Le Mieux Gallery 322 Julia Street, New Orleans, exhibit opening of prints from the book and signing at 6 p.m.
Monday, December 8th Jefferson Parish Library, 4747 W. Napoleon Ave, Metairie 7 p.m.
Thursday, December 11th Roy House, Center for Louisiana Studies and UL Press, University and Johnston Streets, LFT 6 p.m.
Wednesday, December 17th Cavalier Books 302A Jefferson Street, LFT 6 p.m.
I hope to see you all at one of these events, and in the meantime attached is one more photograph from the book. Here is the caption which sums up what you are seeing.
"An oversized replica of an alligator snapping turtle serves as a fishing pier along the old US Highway 65 bridge south of Tallulah, adjacent to the Alligator Brake Swamp. Tallulahnative Marshall Sevier, a farmer and preacher, built the replica in 2021. 'I wanted to buildsomething outlandish, something that would bring joy to people,” Sevier recalls. “I think of it as the best man cave one could have and a great place for my grandchildren.' ''
Many thanks.
