We are still in awe of this beautiful day!
Spring weddings will always have our hearts because the light feels softer, the colors feel louder, and every moment turns into something painterly and alive.

The stunning backdrop at Wolff Weddings and Events set the stage for everything that unfolded, and the incredible team at Cecilia Fruge made the entire day flow with absolute ease and intention.

Florals by Petals & Pots were pure spring poetry in bloom 🌸 and the celebration stayed energized thanks to Beau Gautreaux keeping the vibe alive all night long.

Guests were treated to delicious food from Bon Temps Grill and a cake from Crystal that looked almost too pretty to cut.

Isabel and her girls were absolutely glowing after glam by Shelby Thibodeaux and Nadia Veron Guillory. Soft, radiant, effortless perfection.

And Samuel and his crew showed up looking so sharp in their custom made suits, the definition of timeless style.

Isabel & Samuel’s day was flawless from beginning to end, and we are so honored to have been the ones to capture it all. These are just the first glimpses… more beauty coming soon 🤍📸

Rachel & Steve are planning a Colorado wedding, surrounded by mountains and adventure, but chose to come back home to Lafayette, where her roots run deep, to capture their engagement. And honestly… that just makes it even more meaningful.

They say when you’re truly in love, the whole day just transforms into magic…

Donna and Josh’s wedding this past Saturday was the perfect proof. ☁️✨

From the second we arrived at the gorgeous until the moment we packed up, every single detail was in its place and the energy was pure bliss. We were honestly tearing up behind our lenses during their first look and private vows, and just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, that sunset showed up to take our breath away. 🌅

Thank you Andy for your expertise in planning and all things floral. You made their day nothing short of perfect! And the MK staff was just the best as always!!

Ever wonder what photographers are thinking about? 📷

Spoiler: we’re framing the world. Constantly.

Every sidewalk crack, every windblown strand of hair, every sliver of light sneaking through a window is a possible masterpiece. We don’t really “turn it off.” Our brains are tiny art directors whispering, “Wait… that’s beautiful.”

We create wedding films.

Yes, we will always adore photographs. They are heirlooms you can frame, hold, and pass down. But a wedding film is the heartbeat behind the portrait. It carries the tremble in your voice. The pause before “I do.” The way your hands find each other without thinking.

Some moments don’t want to be explained.

They want to be felt.

Photos have a way of holding what words can’t reach. The quiet looks. The way someone softens when they’re seen. The safety, the history, the tenderness that lives between two people who know each other deeply.

During sessions like this, something shifts. When a couple slows down enough to be present, to touch, to breathe, to really look at one another, they remember things that often get lost in the noise of everyday life. And when they later look back at these images, they don’t just see how they looked. They feel how it felt.

Do a first look. Here’s why 🤍

Our couples love first looks because it gives them something rare on a wedding day:
QUIET. TIME. TOGETHER.

It helps calm nerves, brings you fully into the moment, and lets you soak in each other before the whirlwind begins. It’s also a beautiful time to share private vows, especially if reading them in front of a crowd feels intimidating.

From a photography standpoint, first looks give us space for real emotion and relaxed, intentional portraits of the two of you together. You’ll still have tons of candid moments later, but this time is just for you.

✨ Fun fact: David and I didn’t do a first look… and we wish we had….
Between my ADHD and the sensory overload of walking down the aisle, my attention was everywhere. David had time to take it all in. I didn’t. We both wish we’d shared that quiet moment together beforehand. That’s one reason why we’re so passionate about first looks!

That said, there’s no “right” way.
Do what feels true to you. Always. 🤍
