There is still construction going on, but for those of you around the Lafayette area. Moncus Park is now open and is a nice place to slow down for a moment right in the heart of Lafayette. Once finished it will be a hub for music, and a range of other activities. Musical performance captured during the Christmas in the Park event

Anyone in the Acadiana area, or with future interest in visiting Lake Martin may want to sign this petition. Public access to the lake is now extremely limited and will likely be that way for a while. I don't usually share things like this on the page, but Lake Martin is such a Louisiana treasure, I had to share.

Lake Martin Initiative! Let's restore Lake Martin back to what it was intended for.
