Iā€™ve got my second round of Motherā€™s Day sessions this weekend and I cannot wait. šŸ¤

Iā€™m still swooning over these of my friend and her beautiful babies. Lauren and I became mamas on the very same day, in the very same hospitalā€”our boys, Cash and Nash. Over 10 years later, weā€™re still connected in such a special way, and Iā€™m so grateful for her.

This job gives me the chance to pour into so many incredible mothers, and itā€™s one of my very favorite parts of being a photographer. I know how meaningful these photos areā€”because Iā€™m a mom too. This work feels like it mattersā€¦ like Iā€™m creating something that will live on far beyond me and my time here.

Mama, these photos are a giftā€”for you now, and for them later.

This week, I had a dad reach out to purchase a family session gift certificate for his wife for Motherā€™s Day. So intentional, so thoughtfulā€”and honestly, exactly what she wants.

Sammyā€™s mom was the preschool teacher for all of my kids, and we love her so, so much. Miss Meela truly has a special place in our familyā€™s heart. Anytime I get the chance to do something for her kids in returnā€”especially capturing photosā€”itā€™s such an honor.

A couple weeks ago, Sammy announced he signed with the University of Kentucky to play baseballā€”how amazing is that?! While we were taking his senior photos, I told him that with a name like Sammy Swank, he was just meant to play baseball. I couldnā€™t be more excited for him!

Seniors, this is your moment. The next month will be filled with memories youā€™ll carry with you foreverā€”soak it all in, reflect, and truly enjoy every bit of it.
