🚨 A couple of clients have asked, so I thought I would let y’all know that I’ve decided to open up six sessions from August through October 🎉

I’ll be doing two each month… told you I was cutting back 😅 I need to keep a hard line so I’m the best mom I can be as we begin homeschooling! I also want to be the best photographer I can be for my clients, and that means not taking on more than I can handle. So if you’re a past client or a new client, please reach out at [email protected]! Past clients will receive priority booking but the sessions are open to all. It’s unlikely that I’ll be doing fall minis, so this is it!

Also, this is a photo my cousin snapped at my maternity session during my last pregnancy three years ago… I had never gotten around to editing them but here it is. I miss the belly but I’m loving the sleep I’ve missed through three back to back pregnancies!

Can I be honest? I miss taking pictures. I miss my clients and seeing the joy on their faces when they see their galleries for the first time. I miss sneaking away from my family for summer evening sessions and taking in some of the solitude that comes with it. But I’ve found so much joy in reigniting my passion for photography through my kids. Never missing a moment over here ❤️

When your mom is also your bestie and your t-ball coach 🥰

⚠️ long post alert ⚠️

I hopped on to let everyone know I’m still alive! After the end of last season, I decided to take a much needed break from social media and even step back from this business a little bit. And you know what? It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It was good for my mental health, but what I didn’t expect is how much it would shift my perspective with my family. As a photographer, I’m also a stay at home mom with three kids 6 and under. I was absolutely ready to start sending them to childcare to begin ramping up this business full time, but the last few months of living life completely uninterrupted with these wildlings has been beautiful. I’ve learned so much about being their parent that I would’ve never learned otherwise. I’ve said yes to activities and projects that I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to do. And slowly but without fail, God gave me the confidence to officially make the decision to homeschool next school year. I’ll try to cut it short and just say that I’ll be taking limited sessions this year so I can immerse myself in the family I’ve been given. Photography started as a way to escape from life as a stay at home mom, but as time passes I’m seeing this season fade and a new season begin. I want to sit in it as long as I can ❤️ thanks for reading! Im still around, still taking limited sessions, but not really checking Instagram often. That’s a wrap! I’ve finished editing all of my sessions and I am delivering the last of the albums and photo books this week ✨ I’ve been up late every night working to get things wrapped up for the season. My house is a wreck but my heart and my clients are so happy! Excited to take a little break and then move to finishing up the creative sessions that I’ve neglected to finish over the past couple of months. My fellow photogs will understand 😅

This is about the time of the month when I start thinking about dragging the Christmas decoration out, but it feels wrong when it’s 65 degrees outside. I think this weekend is the last of the mild temps before we hit reality, then it will really feel like time 🎄 but first, turkey!
