Today I honor my sweet cousin.
She touched my life in a way I still don’t have words for.

I didn’t understand what God was doing back then… but now I see it so clearly.

She was the one who insisted I photograph her baby. The one who bought the props, found the blankets, built Pinterest boards, and basically pushed me,lovingly…into what would become my life’s work. Every milestone after that… for over 12 years… she believed in me before I fully believed in myself.

She helped design my studio. Helped me move in. Wrote a verse on the studs before the walls went up. Sat with me on the hardest days. Sat with me on the happiest days. Hundreds of walks. Countless coffee conversations. Every one of them tucked forever into my heart.

God didn’t just bless me with an incredible cousin, He gave me a friend. A woman who would have gone to war for me without hesitation.

I wish I could have fought for her the way she fought for everyone she loved. I’ll never fully understand why things happen the way they do… but I do know this:

She changed me.

And I will honor her by loving my family and friends the way she loved hers. By showing up. By remembering the small moments. By continuing the work she helped me start 🥺because my business is what it is in large part because of her.

I will forever be grateful that she pushed me to do that very first newborn session.
And I will carry her with me in everything I create.

Always.

Some families just become part of your heart. 🤍
I still remember each newborn from this crew… tiny fingers, sleepy yawns, proud siblings, and the way time moves faster than it should.

Now here we are again, welcoming their newest baby girl.

I’ll always take that sweet little outdoor photo… because something about natural light + fresh air + a brand new baby feels like Heaven for a second.

Seven whole days into the new year, and ive already hit the ground running. I spent the first week of 2026 with a newborn, a one year old and a family... and honestly theres no better way to start a year than that.

Feeling grateful, grounded, and excited to see how 2026 will bless me.

looking back on 2025 Sessions...

Back in 2019, Olivia reached out to me to capture one of the most tender moments telling her husband she was pregnant after waiting for quite some time. I remember how emotional that day was... not to mention running from the rain storms all around us, and finally found some sunshine.

What I didn’t know then was that six years later, she would still trust me, year after year with her babies. With their milestones. With their story. It has been such a gift to watch them grow into a family, especially knowing her since we were school aged. There’s something so special about witnessing life come full circle like that.

I love all of my families deeply… but this one hit my mama heart a little extra this year. It was sweet being able to travel to their little town for a change...

This is why I do what I do.
This is the heart behind it all.
