To be honest, the last few weeks have been so overwhelming for me. I overcommitted myself on the photo front, and it's had me questioning everything. I thought this was what I wanted to do, but I never accounted for a million of the stress factors that come with starting a business...

I won't bore you with the details, but I will say that today I had to literally force myself to make time to sit and catch up with my editing. I wanted and needed to remember why I love photography again.

And then this photo happened.

My dear, sweet Sydney Hyland. All grown up and more beautiful than ever.

So now I am remembering why this is my calling, and why I have to trek through this rut to get to the other side; because people are important, and God gave me this gift to elevate every single person I come in contact with-- I was created to tell an entire story with a single frame. You can find me resting in this truth through the stress and the chaos of whatever the days ahead may bring me.

Did work on client packaging last night.

This picture is nuts to me. I'm so grateful for these past few months and all of the people that have entrusted me with their moments. This is only 2 weeks worth of packages... there are still so many more sessions to be edited and sent out.

This is in no way, shape, or form a bragging right. This is a celebration of the fact that if you set your mind and heart to something you can absolutely do it.

My New Years resolution was to get this thing off the ground, and even though I'm sure business will slow down a ton after this month, I am still so grateful for every single package I get to send in the mail.

Thank you to everyone who has been so encouraging and propelled me toward pursuing this long time dream of mine. I have never in my life been so challenged and rewarded.
