Good morning everyone, I hope you are all having a great Sunday morning! Instead of taking the boat out this morning and fishing I decided I needed to get some backlog caught up from the last few times I was out.

These are from the Strawberry full moon in June. I put in at 03:30 and it was sure worth it, what an amazing morning it was out on the water! I was the only on on the lake and it was absolutely peaceful.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I did shooting them. As with all of my astrophotography or night shots, tap the pic to clear the screen around it so the photo shows better with a dark border.

As a Veteran today is not anywhere near the top of the list of my favorite holidays. In fact, as many other Veterans will probably agree, it is one of the least favorite of the entire year. No matter where you are, or what you are doing today, please take time to stop and reflect on what made everything in your life possible.

The Flag moves not on the wind, but on the last breath of every Soldier, Marine, Sailor and Airman that paid the absolute highest cost to ensure that you could enjoy the life and freedoms that you do in this great Republic.

The next three photos I am posting are three of my other favorite astrophotography shots. All three are of the Miky Way as seen from out in the Sonora Desert. I took these a few years ago on a trip to see some really good friends and brothers out there. My internet is still acting up and will not let me post them together so they will be three different posts.

Every once in a while I start wandering through older files looking at past work. This particular photo was shot at Mather Point at the Grand Canyon National Park in ZERO light pollution. I stood out there that night for quite a while in a strong breeze that had my hands freezing but it was so infinitely peaceful and beautiful that I eventually had to force myself to leave to go warm up. I took so many different photos that night, but this particular one is one of my favorites because of everything in it. If you are able to view this on a computer instead of your phone and look close you will see that I caught five different objects flying across the horizon. Two are at such a distance that I am not sure they aren't satellites and not aircraft. The only regret I have from that night ( and I will go back at some point to rectify this ) is that I couldn't stay out there long enough for the Milky Way to rise. To be able to shoot it in zero light pollution would be such a cool experience! If you are viewing this on your phone, go in a dark room and tap the photo to remove the surrounding light from the screen to view it better.
