Gosh, it's been forever since I've posted! Mostly because I've been enjoying summer before my schedule got super crazy. 😅

One of the things I've been picking up is film photography, and I took out some of my film cameras to the 's National Summit the other week. Let's just say that scanning them the way I did was a little difficult, and I may invest in a dedicated 35mm scanner. 😂

Why not more photos from me for the National Summit? I was actually doing video that weekend, and I get to start going through it over the next few weeks. The film stuff was just for fun. 😀

My goodness, I've been so busy I haven't shared more of my trips with y'all! Well, here's a look into my vacation back in April when I went to Las Vegas! It was a weekend trip for me as I went down for some Miss Amazing work, but I managed to enjoy some of the city while I was there.

Truth be told, I'm not a big gambler and I attribute that to my neurodiversity. It's probably a good thing because I spend way too much money on photography gear, and at least I can make money from that bad habit. 😅

I did go up and down the Strip while I was there, and even made a quick trip out to the Hoover Dam too! Yes, I did gamble a bit. I won a bit, and then lost all my winnings. C'est la vie! 😂

Oh crud! I've been forgetting to
send you guys some photos of my adventures the past
few months! Before I had visited the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, I went down to the Gateway Arch and the Old Cathedral of St. Louis.

Yes, I did go all the way to the top of the arch. Fortunately the wind wasn't blowing much that day, so it didn't sway like it's prone to. After the Arch, I stopped by the Old Cathedral since it's right there next to the Arch. The Old Cathedral is now known as the Basilica of St. Louis, King of France. A cathedral is the seat of a bishop in the Catholic Church, and the seat of the Archbishop of St. Louis moved to the Cathedral-Basilica once that church was constructed and consecrated.

Both the Arch and the Old Cathedral were pretty cool to tour through, despite the magnificence of the Cathedral Basilica being pretty overwhelming.

Oh crud! I've been forgetting to send you guys some photos of my adventures the past few months! First up is the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis when I was in St. Louis in April for some videography work.

My work with Miss Amazing has been taking me all over the place, and while I was in Missouri I made sure to have a day for tourism. I first stopped at the Arch and then grabbed some Pappy's Smokehouse before seeing the Cathedral Basilica.

It is a church featuring the largest mosaic collection in the world, with the ceiling and walls being nearly all mosaics. It is constructed in the neo-Byzantine style, which explains the banding on the walls. As a basilica, it is a Catholic church with historic significance to the Catholic faithful in the area. It is also one of two basilicas in St. Louis, with the other being the Old Cathedral down by the Gateway Arch.

I had meant to go to the Pla-Mor Ballroom last Sunday, but I ended up being super tired from a long weekend out west. I would've got these photos done yesterday, but I ended up wanting to go for a bike ride since the weather was nice.

So I ought to be out semi-regularly this summer as my schedule isn't super crazy right now, and I plan on keeping it that way. After July 4th, my schedule does become crazy so I wouldn't expect seeing me much after that especially this year. The organization I do a lot of volunteer work for has their big event a few weeks earlier than it usually is. Due to that, I will have a lot to work on once I get back from Chicago at the end of July.

As for my next appearance, I'm not 100% sure yet on a date. Keep an eye on my Instagram stories for the next opportunity to get photos!

So it's been a hot minute since I was last at the , but I've had a lot going on where it made it hard to add more to my plate. From travel last month, some family stuff this month, and work being super crazy, I was just overwhelmed and needed time when I could to recharge. 😅

At the end of October every year is Nebraska Miss Amazing 's annual Amplify event, and I always have the honor of being one of the photographers! It's something I got involved with four years ago and have been involved with ever since. Through each interaction throughout the weekend, you can see every participant have their confidence boosted by such a wonderful community.

I did end up taking fewer photos this year as we had a wonderful team to help out, so I did more video work this year. I can't wait to see what 2026 has in store!

It's been two months since my last Pla-Mor Ballroom appearance, so I decided that since I had the availability I would make the trip down to Lincoln for the night last night! It was a fun night seeing everyone again and even getting out and dancing a bit.

As for my retirement, it's going to be a semi-retirement where I show up when I have the bandwidth and mental energy to do so. With all the projects I have going on, it's probably going to be every couple of months when I can be down there.

Fortunately, this time you won't have to wait that long. See everyone on December 28th! I won't be there for New Years as I will be on vacation, but I will likely be back on January 18th too! After that, my schedule is iffy until March.
