Normally I never do this…

But I feel my heart breaking every time I kneel to pray…

I had the honor of meeting this sweet mama and her precious baby girl, and snapped a few quick cell phone photos for my best friend. To now hear of this little angel’s passing — what feels like just days later — is absolutely heartbreaking and unfair beyond words.

This family has already endured so much, and I can’t imagine the pain they’re facing right now. I’m asking, more than anything, that you lift up the Smith family in your prayers. Every mother’s greatest fear, every father’s worst nightmare — they’re living through it.
