I’ll always love a beautiful color edit… but black and white will forever have my heart.
There’s just something about stripping away the color that feels deeper to me. Without all the tones and distractions, you notice expression, light, emotion, texture… the feeling behind the image.
Color shows you what something looked like.
Black and white shows you what it felt like.
I think that’s why I’m so drawn to it. It feels more raw. More honest. Like it strips everything down to the emotion and the connection.
Im always eager to edit specific images in black and white as it makes me slow down and really see people — not just how they look, but who they are in that moment. And honestly, some of the most powerful images to me aren’t the loudest or most colorful ones… they’re the ones that make you feel something without needing anything extra. 🤍🖤
