For decades, our customers have trusted as with an important job. YOU have trusted us with your precious original photographs and videotapes, so that they could be digitized right here in our local shop and then enjoyed by all your family and friends.
Today, Photographic Depot would like to thank each of you for choosing us, for allowing us, to Preserve Your Old Family Memories and Create New Memories for Your Family.
Thank you, for letting us have the pleasure of sharing in your personal memories and all of life's moments through the years.
We've heard your stories, about your great-great grandparents and interesting places you've vacationed. We have met your pets and even seen the children of longtime customers grow up.
Our staff have celebrated with you your weddings, graduations, and other moments of joy. We've even had an occasional chuckle at that unmentionable film you didn't know was in with your father's 8mm movie reels! 😉
But, we've also shared in your grief, with water-damaged photographs after the floods and rush photo scans for unexpected funerals of a close loved one.
Even when not placing an order, many of our loyal customers will drop by to share their latest update. You come in to tell us about your new baby or the new job; to let us know your spouse passed away or about another big change in your life. Some of our long-term customers have even come in to say goodbye before moving out of town.
📢 Now, it is our turn to make an announcement, to share our latest news — and the next chapter of our lives — with all of you...
🚨 ‼️ Photographic Depot is CLOSING our shop‼️🚨
By the end of the month, we will no longer have a physical location here in La Grange IL (or anywhere).
⚠️ IMPORTANT! ⚠️
🛍 Please, if you have any orders in with us that you have not picked up, make your way in this week (or call 708-354-7800) so that we can settle up and make certain your digital memories are safely returned to you — especially your original media!
As we have been contacting customers about these forgotten orders in our bins, as well as mentioning our closing to those who have stopped in the past week or so, many of you have expressed remarkable sadness. When you tell us how Photographic Depot will be missed, we are awed. Although our customers have been a huge part of our lives, we never expected to also be of theirs.
🖼 In digitizing your memories, WE have somehow become ONE of your memories!!!📺
We truly thank you for that and hope you will still continue to follow and support Moments Before Dawn when you are looking to purchase local fine art and are in need of a photographer for events and portraits.
‼️ 📼 Additionally, besides image editing, photo restoration, and design, Dawn will now be expanding her freelance business of 20 years to offer some of OUR imaging services remotely, such as video transfers and photo scanning! 🎞
Click over to her page and follow her on most social media platforms at , if you are not already. And watch for future updates about these new services at www.lagranged.com
We also would like to thank all the local brick-and-mortar businesses, professionals, and nonprofit organizations who have referred their customers, clients, and members to us, as well as other business owners and their employees for choosing Photographic Depot for their own imaging and printing needs.
❗️📸 Going forward, we would like to remind other local businesses that Dawn is a product and commercial photographer, who can capture your storefront, employees, and merchandise with professional lighting. Additionally, she is an experienced content creator and social media manager, offering multimedia services from video + video editing to professional writing. If you need assistance with your page or group, Google, Instagram, or Website, please reach out to Moments Before Dawn at [email protected]
We also want to thank the La Grange Business Association for your continued support and all the opportunities you offer, to not only promote small businesses, but also educate and keep us up-to-date in current trends
Finally, thank you to everyone else who has supported us through the years; everyone who has ever recommended us, highly rated us on Google, and shared our social media posts. All of you made this dream possible for all these years.
Joe has been with Photographic Depot since the 1990s and has owned it just shy of 20 years, but the business itself has been in this same location for around 50 years, with those who initially formed the camera store serving La Grange's photographic needs at another location even before that!
Although this is the end of an era, it is not goodbye.
🎞 Film faded with digital, but is still around, and photography itself is alive and well. 📷
And, we will all be, too!
You will still see around La Grange and neighboring towns. We will be out there supporting other local businesses and non-profits, taking photos, enjoying LG traditions, and just sitting by the fountain. Whichever direction we head, as residents, Joe and Dawn will still be coming home to La Grange at night!
We will still be posting about the village and other small businesses in Facebook groups like La Grange Lifestyle, the first active community group for La Grange, created by a business owner for business owners and run with the professionalism of a business, which supports ALL La Grange businesses and beyond. If you aren't a member, click over to join. If you're a business, post whenever it fits into your busy schedule. If you're a resident or visitor, share photos from your other favorite businesses and around town and make the feed as vibrant as La Grange, so that when our small businesses post, members will see it in their personal feed. You can link to the group anytime by visiting www.lagrangeillinois.com
One or both of us will still be involved with the village and local organizations, like LGAHS, LGNN, and CCLG. We highly encourage other residents and business owners to join us in Citizens' Council of La Grange. We learned so much about how things work in the Village since becoming members! Get involved, make a difference.
Dawn will still be organizing the La Grange Restaurant Tour 2.0 every third Thursday of the month, so join us for lunch, or...
🚂🚃 We will always have La Grange!⛲️ 🏫
