In a world of technology and ever-improving phone cameras…why hire a professional photographer?

Besides the obvious of quality photos and careful editing, choosing to invest in a skilled photographer means investing in a human being who’s going to look out for you and your people. They will—

2 weeks of Anders 🤍

Getting to hold him on the outside, care for him, introduce him to his big brother, and begin to get to know him. We’ve learned with our first how quickly the “little” stage goes, and so we’re soaking in what we can.

Life with 2 kiddos is definitely more full and more demanding, but we wouldn’t trade it. 🥰

When it comes to “work stuff” for myself, I’m slowly getting back into editing when I can, and still answering inquiries, but other than that I’ll be on maternity leave for the next couple months because this time is precious and rest us important! Bridget + Owen’s wedding was full of nostalgia and romance (and plenty of rain for good luck! ☔️)!

Held on a family property with an airstrip, it was the perfect setting to tie the knot! Bridget’s vision truly came to life with an array of color and personal details 💐. One of the highlights was spotting a huge rainbow during the reception for a hopeful break from the rain!

Today marks the end of my 2025 wedding season, in a way, so I thought why not post an engagement session I haven’t gotten around to sharing yet?

Maternity leave isn’t too far away now, and so I was able to serve my last couple today (in-person), as from here on out I’ll have an associate covering for me (less than 4 weeks till due date now!).

It’s been a wild summer, with moving 3 hours away (closer to family, but father from most of my couples, sadly!), buying our first home, adjusting to new routines/job for my husband, and “nesting” for baby.

This engagement session was such a sweet time, especially being back in La Crosse where I started forming my photography business and where I’ve formed so many memories.

It’s been a year of growth and change so far, and I’m looking forward to diving into this next season and all the ways we’ll continue to be challenged and also blessed.

Until then—I’ll be mostly hunkered down at my computer, working hard to get galleries out before baby comes! 🤰🏻💻

Maren + Cole’s day was characterized by so much JOY.

Starting with their friends and family who truly surrounded them with so much support, love, and laughter. And when the rain threatened to ruin plans, they didn’t let it dampen their day or let it get in the way of them truly being themselves. There was a clear theme anytime someone spoke about Maren + Cole: they truly have so much love and appreciation for each other and it was clear they make a great team ( ). The energy carried into the evening when almost everyone joined Maren and her dad’s invitation to the dance floor while the band lit the crowd up 🎶

is about to be unstoppable heading into this next stage of life 🙌🏻

Becca + Chase’s day came together so beautifully, despite planning together, often long distance, while Chase served on active military duty and Becca was diving into her medical residency. Becca’s clear vision for the details was evident, and so was the love and support from their families! 🤍
