I drove a few hours after shooting Katie & Stu’s elopement last night and didn’t turn on the radio once. I sat thinking about how powerful it was to witness two people commit their lives to each other with (barely) anyone else around them. They knew that they wanted the moments they said their vows to be between the two of them without any other distractions, and that they did.

Katie and Stu- your love is literally palpable. The red rocks of Sedona and I felt it and the rest of the world will feel it when they encounter you. Thank you for sharing it with us. 🤎

I’m convinced that when anyone steps foot in Arizona they’re now bound to an agreement of returning at least twice a year for all time. I’ll be back in the desert in late May and if you have any recommendations for tacos/churros/ or hikes, I’d love to hear them. If you’d like to hop in front of the camera while I’m there, I’d love that even more than the churros. 🤗

This feels really surreal to be typing and it felt even more surreal to hear. We were voted best of La Crosse this year. (Literally-😨🥲) Truly, though, there is no award that any of us photographers could win that would be greater than the job we have. The clients we serve become family and the moments we capture feel like little treasures made of gold that we get to continue to witness. There is truly no words I could write that could correctly depict this- but there will be no award that even comes close to the greatness of all of you. (I’m looking at any and all of you reading this. Thank you for your heart and thank you for allowing me to know you/ take your photo/ learn from you.)

To sixteen year old Karlee that wanted so terribly to create photos for a living- Thank you for following your dream no matter how outlandish it felt at the time. Your hard work, (and stubbornness) got us here. I’ll try to continue to keep my end of the bargain. 🤎

I took some time today to essentially just be flabbergasted that it’s my job to capture when a couple shares champagne for the first time as a married couple. I’m there when they share their first dance and their first kiss, knowing full well it’s the start of the lifetime of them sharing dances and kisses. I feel flabbergasted today and I’ll continue to feel that way as long as I’m blessed enough to call this my job. Thank you, darling client friends. You’ve given me the greatest job ever.

During her vows she promised him she’d work every day to love him like he loves her. She vowed that she would attempt to embody the home that he embodies for her.

I’ve experienced many wedding days and gotten to know so many couples, but Friday I got to witness the way Ainsley and Mike love each other. That’s something I’ll be a better person because of. Thank you, you two. I’ll be posting about you until the end of time, (or until we can reunite over Culver’s.) 😏💃🏼
