โจ I love it when I catch a bird showing off its nictitating membrane! Itโs such a fascinating part of their anatomy!
Fun fact: Eagles (and many other birds) have a semi-transparent nictitating membrane that acts like a "third eyelid." This special eyelid protects their eyes while flying at high speeds and diving to catch prey, all without losing sight. Itโs natureโs way of giving them goggles! ๐๐
