I’m gonna be honest you guys this s**t is fu***ng hard. More than just watching our couples be miserable or having family members at our weddings struggling to breathe— August weddings have become a real toss up where they didn’t used to be. And we’re in the PNW so of course all of our venues are primarily outdoor.

We’ve had venues burn down this year. Or like, one owner allegedly murdered the co-owner. Just this past weekend our bride had her day-of coordinator just not show up. And my job is to make things go smoothly. And Hunter & I do, no matter what. But goddamn, you guys, I hate this.

Pray for the PNW and vote for people who listen to science, I guess. Okay I’m getting off my soapbox now.

Mandie and Nate’s elopement up at Trillium Lake + Timberline Lodge was bright and warm— which was super weird for October, but it was still amazing. Super glad I rented a special wide lens so I could capture the sweeping views of Mt. Hood

I told Mandie that whichever Etsy witch she paid to make the weather work out did her job WELL 👀

I’m going to tell you the truth: sometimes we have had to cancel an engagement session halfway through the shoot and reschedule 😭

Hunter & I got caught in a HORRIBLE January storm with Katie & Josh in Astoria for their original engagement session and we braved through about 30 minutes of the wind chill and downpour before we waved the white flag at momma earth 😬🏳️

We went back for the reshoot last week for some weird ass warm February weather. I’m not complaining but it was like 64 degrees. In February. On the Oregon Coast???? I think momma earth needs to go back to bed.

But I could not be MORE HAPPY with these photos. Just, ugh, chefs kiss 💋

(And to Meg, my beloved hairstylist if you see this: no you didn’t. Yes; I chopped my hair off. Yes, I will be coming to see you soon. No, it was not just like when I was a teenager. The mommy hair loss was TOO MUCH and I couldn’t take it anymore 🙃)
