Mandie and Nate’s elopement up at Trillium Lake + Timberline Lodge was bright and warm— which was super weird for October, but it was still amazing. Super glad I rented a special wide lens so I could capture the sweeping views of Mt. Hood

I told Mandie that whichever Etsy witch she paid to make the weather work out did her job WELL 👀

I’m going to tell you the truth: sometimes we have had to cancel an engagement session halfway through the shoot and reschedule 😭

Hunter & I got caught in a HORRIBLE January storm with Katie & Josh in Astoria for their original engagement session and we braved through about 30 minutes of the wind chill and downpour before we waved the white flag at momma earth 😬🏳️

We went back for the reshoot last week for some weird ass warm February weather. I’m not complaining but it was like 64 degrees. In February. On the Oregon Coast???? I think momma earth needs to go back to bed.

But I could not be MORE HAPPY with these photos. Just, ugh, chefs kiss 💋

Ooof, this is a hard one for me to talk about. I say this as a daughter who had to make a memorial slideshow for her mother’s funeral and my mother hadn’t taken or been in a photo for the last decade of her life due to her illness— please be in the photos.

Please get in front of the camera with your babies and your friends and your family. Do it for yourself, and for them, and for the people that will walk farther than you will. ❤️🌱

Cameron + Amanda tied the knot with ringbearer Duke the Cat! They said I do in the comfort of their own backyard! 🌿💍 (and it was GORGEOUS)

Sometimes, the simplest moments are the most profound, and witnessing their love in such a personal setting was truly magical for Hunter & I. We've been friends with Cameron + Amanda for over a decade so this was a high, high honor.

There was just a little sprinkle of rain, but not enough to make anything difficult, and the lights in their trees sprinkled magically. I had to climb into a bush at one point but I will die for my shot. It proves that you don’t need an extravagant venue to create unforgettable memories.
