There’s a real possibility that my photography business will come to an end at the end of this year.
That’s not something I ever imagined saying out loud.
Photography has given me so much over the years — incredible people, unforgettable moments, creative growth, and memories I’ll carry forever. It’s been more than a job. It’s been a huge part of my identity.
But the reality is, this industry has changed a lot. In my area especially, photography has become extremely oversaturated. It feels like more and more people are getting into it every day, and while I respect anyone chasing a creative passion, it’s made it incredibly difficult to keep a sustainable business going.
Between rising costs, constant competition, and how much the market has shifted, it’s become harder to justify continuing the way I have been.
Because of that, I’ve decided that for the rest of this year I’ll be offering discounted sessions. I want to spend this season doing what I love, working with amazing people, and giving more families and couples the chance to book sessions they may not have been able to otherwise.
I don’t know exactly what the next chapter looks like yet, but I do know this: I’m grateful. Grateful for every client who trusted me, every family who welcomed me into their milestones, every couple who put faith in me to document one of the biggest days of their lives.
If this really is the final season, I want to make it count.
To everyone who has supported me — thank you. Truly.
