Ya’ll I’m in shock and so grateful right now.

This weekend I spent 4 days with my mentors, friends, encouragers and world class teachers. Professional Photographers of Idaho convention was so much fun (as always).

I was blown away by how many of my peers said they liked my macro work.

At the end of every convention we have an awards ceremony. This year (my 2nd year entering). I received 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in the general macro category.

Each judge gets to give an award to their favorite image. A very special thank you to Dennis Hammon for selecting one of my images to give his judges choice award to. I’m truly humbled and thankful! It’s quite an honor!

Each year all the photographers get to vote for their favorite image and I want to let each of them know how honored and grateful to each one who voted for my image. I’m truly blown away!

The top four scoring images from each photographer is tallied and an award is given to the Top Ten photographers. Again, I’m humbled, grateful and blown away.

A very special thank you to all my mentors and encouragers for the roll each of you played in helping me on my journey to reaching my dreams. Some of which just came true! 💕

I encountered a honeybee today that was experiencing difficulty in flight and struggling in the grass. I offered her a twig and a ride to my flower garden. I captured a few sweet poses before releasing her into my flower garden with a hopeful prayer for a successful journey.

I'm excited that 4 of my 6 images merited in the mid-year image competition for Professional Photographers of Idaho, and I got 1st place in the general macro category.
