Julionna | Aliquippa High School Class of 2026 ✨

Some seniors walk into a session a little nervous. Julionna walked in ready to own it.

From the moment we started, she brought confidence, style, and her own personality to every shot. These are just a couple peeks from her session, and I already know her gallery is going to be one of those that’s hard to narrow down.

Senior year only happens once. It’s a season full of excitement, big decisions, and memories that will be talked about for years to come. Being trusted to capture even a small part of that journey is something I never take for granted.

When Wildlife Becomes Fine Art 🩶🌌

Not every photograph is about action.

Sometimes it’s about light. Sometimes it’s about patience. Sometimes it’s about finding a moment that feels more like a painting than a photograph.

This Great Blue Heron stood perfectly still as the evening light wrapped around its feathers and the background melted into darkness.

Photography has taught me that the most powerful images aren’t always the loudest ones. Sometimes they’re quiet, still, and gone before you realize just how special they are. ✨🪶

A Friendly Wave. 👋🏼🦫🍃

You never really know what you’ll see when you slow down and let nature come to you.

This beaver spent a few quiet moments feeding and swimming nearby, completely unbothered by my presence. Then, just as quickly as it appeared, it disappeared back into the water.

It’s moments like these that remind me why I keep coming back. With my in hand camera, a little patience, and the hope that something special might happen.

Worth the Wait 🤙🏼✨

I’ve spent years photographing wildlife, yet somehow I’ve never photographed a beaver until this week.

I waited quietly along the water, hoping for even a glimpse. Then, this little moment happened. A curious face breaking the surface, perfectly mirrored in the water below.

Wildlife photography reminds me that not every experience can be planned. Sometimes the best moments are the ones you didn’t know you were missing until they appear right in front of you.

A Place Worth Returning To ✨

Some locations never get old, no matter how many times you visit them.

I’ve photographed this waterfall before, but every visit feels a little different. The light changes, the water changes, the season changes, and somehow the scene always gives you something new to appreciate.

This was one of those moments where everything came together. The soft flow of the water, the vibrant greens of early summer, and the quiet feeling that comes with spending time outdoors.

Sometimes it’s not about finding a new place. It’s about seeing a familiar place in a new way.

The Moment Before Stillness. ✨🌌

Most of the time, a Great Blue Heron stands perfectly still. Then, in an instant, everything changes.

The water erupts, the hunt is over, and a moment that lasts less than a second becomes something you’ll remember long after it’s gone.

One of the things I love most about wildlife photography is that no two encounters are ever the same. You can spend hours waiting, watching, and learning, and then nature gives you a moment like this.

This crappie unfortunately did not stand a chance. But, the heron left happy and full. Enjoy and have a beautiful day! 🤙🏼🤙🏼

The Reward of Patience. 💙🪶

Wildlife photography has a way of teaching patience.

For what felt like forever, this Great Blue Heron stood motionless along the bank, watching and waiting. Then, in an instant, the stillness was broken. One precise strike and lunch was secured.

Moments like this are why I keep going back. Not every outing ends with a photograph, but every once in a while nature gives you a front-row seat to something incredible. ✨

This heron reminded me that sometimes the best results come after the longest waits.📸

Finally, more time behind the camera. ✨🤙🏼

Over the last few weeks, I’ve had the privilege of photographing so many different chapters of life.

Engagements. Mother’s Day sessions. Seniors. Generations. Birthdays. Wildlife. Pittsburgh.

Every photo tells a different story, but they all remind me why I picked up a camera in the first place back on July 10, 2020.

As many of you know, I’ve balanced photography alongside my full time career for years. With some changes to my work schedule, I’ll finally have Saturdays and Sundays available more consistently, which means more opportunities to create with all of you.

One Night Above Pittsburgh 🌃

Last night was one of those nights where you just keep looking up.

From the Pirates P hanging above the skyline to the American flag, the Statue of Liberty, and an eagle stretching across downtown, every formation seemed to take on a life of its own against the city lights.

Standing there with my camera, it was hard not to appreciate how much planning, technology, and creativity goes into a show like this. Pittsburgh gave us the skyline. Zambelli gave us the sky.
