The Legacy Behind My Name & Ayres Hall
As a Knoxville photographer, photographing sessions at Ayres Hall holds a deeper meaning for me personally. My great-great-grandfather was Dr. Brown Ayres, who served as President of the University of Tennessee for many years. Ayres Hall was later named in honor of his legacy and impact on the university.
Because of that connection, every graduation and portrait session there feels incredibly special to me. It’s more than just one of the most iconic locations on campus — it represents tradition, achievement, history, and the beginning of new chapters for so many students and families.
Over the years, I’ve learned the best lighting, angles, timing, and hidden spots around campus to create images that feel timeless while still capturing genuine personality and emotion. My goal is always to help clients feel comfortable, confident, and fully present in the moment.
When you book a session with Alex Ayres Media, you’re working with someone who not only knows the campus well, but who also has a personal connection to one of its most meaningful landmarks.
