The struggle is real when it comes to getting sun rise landscape photos. Forcing yourself to get up hours before the sun rises is a fight. But when all is said and done. The results always out weigh the lack of sleep.

The weather in the Smoky Mountains can be unpredictable. Rain wasn't forecast the day before, but that quickly changed with in a few hours. Fortunately the gloomy weather gave me this opportunity for a photo.

After done a photo job I decided to stop at a local park on my way home. Even though most of the fall colors were gone for the year. There were a few trees still holding onto their colorful leaves still.

After a long afternoon of hiking and being chased by bloodsucking mosquitos. I finally came to my last location to take a photo. This is a replica of the old Norton Grist Mill that once stood in the exact spot in 1825.
