💥English Creek Nationals Race Recap💥

Well it didn’t go like we had hoped!

Qualifying
P15
Ounce again for the 2nd year in a row we go out for hot laps and are the fastest car, drew a low pill for early qualifying, (first group out) stayed at the top of the board till the track started to take rubber (about car 24/25) and the track gets faster and we drop down the board.
Qualifying is everything for this race!

Heat

Main
Battery shorted out in stagging getting ready to pull out for the main. Tuff break! Tried to be pushed started but motor wouldn’t run. My dad said if the battery was just dead, it would of push started and ran fine, so with the gauges dead, lights flickering and motor cutting out he said the battery had to of shorted out. I drove the car to stagging and everything was fine. Was rolling out P10 and didn’t even get to make a lap!
That’s racing and some things are out of your control sometimes.

A Possible $30,000-to-win Awaits Competitors for this Weekend’s Illinois Valley Showdown at LaSalle Speedway & Event Center for the MARS Late Model Championship powered by FK Rod Ends

After a solid weekend of MARS Late Model Championship powered by FK Rod Ends action last weekend at Sycamore and Macon, which produced Midwest Sheet Metal Company points leader Ryan Unzicker, and GoSunoco Race Fuels Rookie of the Year point leader Dylan Thornton with victories, the tour is geared up to take on the richest weekend of the season. The Illinois Valley Showdown presented by Action Truck Parts Inc is next up at the LaSalle Speedway & Event Center in LaSalle, Illinois with a possible $30,000 going to a driver if they were to sweep the weekend. A total of three feature events will take place over the course of two nights of action, with a unique twist on Friday, to make this a weekend for the record-books in more ways than one.

Starting P12 tonight. Wish we could’ve qualified better, but the track just wasn’t in our favor for our early qualifying group last night. Ready to rip tonight and see what we can do! 👍
