Not everyone is meant to be a ship.
Some of us are lighthouses built to stand still in the storm so other people can find their way back to shore.
The ships come and go; most never visit the lighthouse… they just trust the light is there.
If you’re one of those lights, don’t let the world burn you out. Protect your fire.
Being a lighthouse often means standing alone, sometimes isolated, and that takes real strength.
To all the lighthouse keepers out there: even if no one ever knocks on your door to say “thank you,” your light still matters. I just want to knock on every lighthouse keeper’s door in my life and let them know I’m grateful for them… Thank you🙏

This rap crew .shuler was soooo good! I really enjoy listening to them! It was hot, but good day!

Last weekend, showing friends the , I found this puddle reflecting a rock, a tiny minnow, and the sky from a fresh angle- photography paradise! Jumping rock to rock, Alan Watts’ quote ‘Muddy water is best cleared by leaving it alone’ stuck with me, sparking self-reflection. Staring at my image, the truth sank in. Back home, this photo lingered, a call to growth. No reflection is like neglecting your soul’s flowers- no water, no growth, just a fizzle until it withers away. Without it, you’re trapped in predictable patterns sitting in fears, insecurities, or traumas repeating, settling for easy over what sustains. Change begins with reflection.
I realized I’d been sitting and stirring dirty water, and time to step back and let it clear for healing. The water settles when you pause, make changes, and trust the process. I’ve got plenty to work on, but I’m not preaching- just my truth. If it resonates, pause now: How’s your day? What shift could free you? I’m grateful I’m breaking my repeat cycle, releasing baggage, and embracing lift-off. The Smokies whispered wisdom that day- I’m thankful for the reminder. Townsend ( ) and GSMNP, see you super soon!

As I watch the French Broad River through my camera viewfinder and thought about its journey, and how It flows to its ocean, the Gulf of Mexico, never lookin back. It joins the Holston, Tennessee, Ohio, Mississippi rivers the connections helpin the river reach its purpose. The ocean is its goal, its big callin. It don’t get there alone.
We are rivers, too. Our ocean is our purpose—our dream, our peace, what lights us up. Like the river, we gotta keep flowin, be persistent. Water carves through rocks over time, breakin barriers. We carve our path to our ocean same way, step by step. The past is gone, like water flowed away. The future ain’t here. Don’t hold onto them—they pull you from the now. In the now, you flow with purpose,while connecting with others—friends, family, even strangers can be your rivers. They help you reach your ocean which is your purpose in this lifetime. When life’s hard, when barriers rise, don’t stop. Flow around, carve through, keep goin. Your ocean is waitin. Stay in the now, trust your flow, and you’ll find your purpose.
