Getting lost in the highlands
While we were driving from St Andrews to Inverness we wanted to stop at Balmoral Castle and take the snowroads through the Caingorms national park, thinking there’s no chance they would be closed in July. We were wrong, and by the time we got to the closed gate we didn’t have any cell service to find a way back to a main road. We made some guesses and got a little lost but after driving through farmland this church popped out of the country side so we got out and explored.
After a few wrong turns and going in a full, hour-long, circle, we made it back to the main road and continued our trip.
Little moments like this were some of the most memorable from our road trip around Scotland.
