This is our first fall in TN and boy do these cold and crisp days feel so cozy. Keep in mind, this is the perfect time to update family photos. There’s nothing like a Christmas gift created by the photos you take with you and your family. Photo books, photo ornaments, and photos printed on canvas are some of my favorite gifts to give. Do the family photos…you won’t regret it🤗🥹

Man, it’s really starting to cool down here in Knoxville! I bet all you pregnant mamas are so glad to hit the cooler weather! I never got to be big and pregnant in anything but the CA desert and man did I hate wearing clothes. But no matter what you go through while pregnant, it’s all worth it when you hold that bb you’ve spent so long dreaming you’d meet. 🤗 I’m so excited to meet all the babies that are on the way this fall/winter!

Fall is here and it’s our first time being in Tennessee for this season. We can’t wait to see all the beautiful trees change and then shed their leaves to make room for winter. We are soaking in these September days of cool mornings and perfect warm breeze evenings to go for walks, play with the water table, and enjoy being outside as much as possible. Our street backs up to a beautiful ranch and we get to walk down the road and gaze at horses. It has become our favorite activity this past week. And we were told recently we were allowed to walk right up to the fence and touch them if we want. 🙈 anyone else enjoying this transition time before fall this much?

This family wanted to have photos taken at their home…which was a 40 acre family farm! I always advocate taking the photos and capturing sweet moments with your family, so keep in mind it can be this simple. At your home, enjoying things you already do as a family. My goal is to capture your family just as it is in this season. Don’t let the outfits and the location hunting deter you!

Mama’s ask about maternity packages! It includes a maternity session, fresh 48, 1 month old newborn lifestyle photos, and a holiday session in October! Document these milestones because you’ll blink and they will be toddlers. You’ll blink again and they will be in school. The beginning can be hard to remember because of exhaustion or shock. Let me document this season for you, so you can cherish it for a lifetime!

How was your mother’s day? Did you get to snuggle your littles and remember the days when you were pregnant with them? Did you get to watch videos you took in the first few months? Did you get to hold them tight and remember all the sacrifice you had to endure (and still have to) while feeling even more so that it was (and is) all so worth it!

I saw so many posts about how moms were hoping to spend mother’s day not having to do anything or be needed all day. I couldn’t even dream of spending my mother’s day away from the one who made me a mom. Sure, it would be nice to sleep a little more and have meals made for me…but that’s not what makes a perfect mother’s day.

So many women don’t get to be moms and celebrate the way I do and that breaks my heart. I am thankful for it all. Even the hard moments. Because they show me my needs and weaknesses. I am not perfect. I don’t respond perfectly and I do need a break at times. But seeing these things only remind me of my need for my own savior. They remind me of His constant care. His sacrifice. His love. Just as a mother loves her child. So here’s to all the mamas I have gotten to work with. You are seen. What you do is important work. 💕

To the girl who made me a mama, I love you more than life itself. You are sweet, funny, spunky, generous, opinionated, confident, and incredibly silly. Who knew silliness was innate? I didn’t! We didn’t teach her 90% of the silly things she does. Thank you, Jesus for this girl!
