Friends, please pause a moment and say a prayer for the people of East Tennessee and Western NC. So many of our friends and neighbors lives have been upended, even completely destroyed by Hurricane Helene. I’m sure you’ve seen on tic tok or X the pictures and videos of the devastation here. I can tell you that it is 10X worse. What I’ve seen here in Greeneville is mind blowing—the power of flash flooding to completely erase the existence of humanity. To utterly change a landscape. To wash away homes, people, pets, and livestock. Hundreds of people have lost their lives.

While we are safe, and our family is safe, so many around us are hurting. Tomorrow we will take aid supplies into North Carolina and I pray they make a small difference in someone’s life.

Please understand, while we are wedding vendors, we are friends and neighbors as well. We are still working on your image galleries and films, but please understand there will be some slight delays in deliverables. We are currently without running water and have had intermittent power blackouts. That being said, we are fully committed to taking care of our couples on upcoming weddings, and we are still booking for 2025, and we love and appreciate our couples supporting our small business.

This is the wedding we were supposed to be working on Saturday when we couldn’t get out of South Greene due to the failed/closed bridges. So I ended up reaching out to the amazing Stella Renee Carter who I’ve used to associate shoot for us before when I was pregnant with Kayce and she captured this moment between the bride and her dad beautifully. It would be nice if WJHL would credit Stellar Photography for the wonderful pictures. 🙂

Samantha + Tom 💕

Sam & Tom met at Georgia Southern during Sam's freshman year and Tom's sophomore year. They quickly hit it off and the two became inseparable. Throughout their years in college, they faced many challenges that come along with figuring out adulthood, but they had one another to get through it all. From multiple fosters dogs (that Thomas never really agreed to) to early mornings and weekends away with ROTC, Sam & Tom survived it all.

Thomas graduated in May of 2020, the great COVID year, and commissioned as a second lieutenant in the US Army. He moved to Arizona to complete his basic officer coursework while Sam headed back to Statesboro, GA to finish up her senior year.
The years 2020 and 2021 came with many adventures. Sam and Tom took a cross country road trip; Tom made it to his first duty station of Fort Bragg; Sam graduated college in May of 2021, and, shortly after, a new addition -in the form of a fury pup- was added to their relationship. To cap off the wonderful year that was 2021, Thomas finally proposed to Samantha in November after three and a half years together.

The trio, Sam, Tom and Rambo, now live in NC while Thomas progresses in his career and Sam advances in her coursework of becoming a physical therapist. And Rambo... well, Rambo is living life, spoiled more than ever, but what more would you expect?

God definitely worked in mysterious
ways to bring this sweet couple
together. They both grew up in the
same small town and attended the
same school, but didn't really know
each other as Jon was older and in
different classes. After graduation
and while working in his new career, Jon returned to his home town to
participate in a career fair-where he met Jill, and recruited her into the company he worked. Jill moved to Charlotte where Jon lived and the rest is history!!

So I know, I know, we’ve been quiet on social media lately. We’ve been a tad busy—we had a BABY, y’all!!

Meet Kayce Phoenix Shane, Vimana Photography’s newest employee of the month!! 😜 Isn’t he just the cutest??! Now if he would just pick up some of the editing load… 🤣🤣🤣

For our current and future brides, YES, we are still booking and filming weddings. In fact, I shot my first wedding back just two weeks post partum! We are blessed to have a wonderful family support system and childcare, so despite the loss in 😴 it’s still business as usual over here!
