Did you know the human eye can see about ten million different colors? That means with 12 universally accepted color groups on the color wheel, your brain/eye has the ability to distinguish over 800,000 of each one. That's almost a million different reds alone! No wonder color scientists have deemed color to be an opinion instead of a fact.

Cameras don't have eyes, however. They have sensors and those sensors can be modified to see things the human eye cannot.

This building for instance is predominantly glass which reflects mostly sky colors, but since glass is an organic material it carries some of its own properties which the infrared camera expands upon very nicely.

All of my color infrared images are artistic interpretations of the data recorded in camera. In this one, I chose to make the sky yellow, but I could have gone with pink, blue, or purple--in fact I did, but today I'm sharing the yellow sky version because it's my favorite.

Photos have the unique ability to show us who we may have forgotten we are--or who the world sees when they look at us without all the baggage we carry when we look in the mirror. It's important to see yourself in a positive light as much as possible. Find someone who shows you your light.
