I have never seen such a hype wedding party as these two had today.

The girls were on it with the cheering and the screaming from their entrance to every time they shared a kiss.

The guys all changed into vests and bow ties only and came out dancing to Pony, making everyone at the reception laugh.

Your friends are a reflection of who you are and OBVIOUSLY Ellie Arp and Austin Bihlmeyer are pretty incredible.

I was worried about the heat going into today at Maple Grove Estate … but I’m happy to report, no one passed out. No one got sick from the heat. No one had a heat stroke. It was actually just fun and we all were in it sweating together! And Ellie wore her 20 pound dress the WHOLE day, so not a single soul could complain!

Kira and Cameron’s engagement session was full of warm light, gorgeous greenery, and so much laughter! Cameron kept Kira smiling the entire evening, making their candid photos some of my absolute favorites. These two are getting married in December surrounded by glowing Christmas trees and twinkling white lights, and I already know it is going to be magical!

Kristen and Jacob’s wedding was full of the sweetest moments. From Kristen’s nonstop smile during the ceremony to the surprise coffee cart Jacob arranged just for her. He makes her coffee every morning, so naturally, fresh espresso had to be part of their wedding day!

They hugged their parents before their first dance, celebrated with everyone they love, and ended the evening with a sparkling send-off. Just before their exit, Jacob looked at Kristen and said, “This was the best day of my life.” The pure joy on their faces said everything. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Gump!

How many ways can Jacob Gump show his love to Kristen Freeman ??

1. Making her coffee every single morning no matter what.
2. Surprising her with a coffee cart at her cocktail hour bc coffee is her thing way more than alcohol.
3. Telling her how beautiful she is every time he looks at her.
4. Belting Taylor Swift with her on the dance floor, knowing every word.
5. Having hearts in his eyes every time he looked at her.

And sooooo many more… it’s endless.

And this little bundle of joy deserves every bit of it bc she is the most precious. She held a giant smile the ENTIRE ceremony like it was nothing. Just a genuine, perfect, beautiful cheesing grin as she became a wife to her favorite person in the whole world.

Today was awesome. If you can’t tell.

Timeless romance meets a little on-trend creativity.

Reagan and Jacob’s engagement session was the perfect blend of classic, glowy portraits and playful, trend-forward images. We incorporated movement, motion blur, soft focus, bold light, and unexpected compositions. All while preserving the timeless style they loved in my portfolio.

Reagan had such a clear vision for this session from the location to their perfectly coordinated outfits, and I loved helping her bring it to life. Their final gallery feels completely true to them.

The Wertz family is one of those families I could photograph again and again. With Beau turning four and Owen turning six months, it was the perfect time to document this sweet season.

Because golden hour falls so late this time of year and getting two little boys ready for sunrise is no small task, we chose a family session at The White Room Studio instead. The beautiful natural light and clean backdrop allowed their personalities, connection, and adorable smiles to shine.

I love that this space gives families a relaxed, timeless alternative when outdoor session timing simply doesn’t fit their lives. And I truly love everything we captured!

Since I used the hashtag I should prob give a wedding pro tip. Today’s will be about weather because it’s been the recurring theme for me this year across the board at basically every wedding.

Don’t stress about the weather. Yes, I know you’ve been checking the farmers almanac since you picked your date. Yes, I know you’ve been watching the weather a month out. Yes, I know you don’t want it to rain. But as a photographer who has shot close to 500 weddings, this is one thing you can take off your stress list. You can’t control it so it’s not worth your worrying. Instead, focus on the fact that you will be married at the end of that day to the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. Your best friend. Also, it always works out. Trust your vendors, trust their vision, and just focus on getting married.

Rolling hills, curious horses, gorgeous light, and an unexpected run-in with someone who knew Todd only as “the hot tub guy.”

Rachel and Todd’s engagement session took place on one of West Knoxville’s best-kept secrets. Acres of permanently protected farmland tucked away near Nubbin Ridge. We started at Todd’s charming home before heading to the main farm where two very photogenic horses joined the session like seasoned professionals.

We learned about Todd’s nickname around the farm, and it had us all laughing.

I cannot wait to celebrate these two in November!
