Most of you know that I’ve been working for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep for just shy of a year now, and I’ve been volunteering with them for much longer.

This organization is so very near to my heart. I love our mission, the families we serve, and the volunteers I work with daily.

NILMDTS had gifted over 60,000 portrait sessions to bereaved families thanks to our amazing volunteers.

September is Recruit a Volunteer month. We always need photographers and Digital Retouch Artists. We also have roles for volunteers who are not photographers, like dispatchers, community volunteers, and a brand new short-term recruiting volunteer role.

Volunteering with NILMDTS is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’d love to talk with anyone who is interested, or even if you just have questions about volunteering.

One of the things I hear the most when talking to people about is that they don’t know what they would say during a session. That’s okay. You don’t have to have words. Just be present. Just being present with someone in their grief is sometimes the most impactful thing you can do.
