It was a magically beautiful and equally as cold evening for the "G" family session.

Beautiful, Happy people mixed with the incredible backdrop of the Great Smoky Mountains as Fall collided with the wintery snow capped peaks...it just doesn't get any better!!

The leaves how now mostly fallen in the Smokies, but it's still a beautiful place for family portraits! The A family was a lot of fun to work with as they spent their family vacation in our beautiful mountains!

I haven't photographed a newborn in 9 years...but that ended this week... Introducing the most very special newborn I've ever photographed....my precious grandson!

He was born on 3/15 weighing 9 lbs 11 oz and 21 inches long.

This Grammy sure loved being able to take these special pictures of this very special boy.

Cassie & James were my very first paying clients in Tennessee in 2010. We had a session in Cades Cove with their then 2 year old daughter, Karsyn.

Their lives took a tragic turn when Karsyn was diagnosed with childhood cancer. She fought bravely for several years, but sadly James and Cassie lost their precious little first born baby girl to the vicious disease.

We have kept in touch over the years and we have watched as Cassie and James were blessed with 2 more beautiful littles. I did Cassies maternity portraits when she was due with Lindyn and got to meet and photograph the family again when Lindyn was a few years old. Then sweet Rory came along.

This week I finally got to meet Rory and do their family photos once again.

It's clients like this who make my job so rewarding. Clients who turn into friends who I get to watch grow over the years.

We had a 28° early March morning for this photo session. It was COLD down by that river. Cassie brought some special blankets for the kiddos to use in between shots to warm up and we couldn't resist a few shots of them wrapped up in these snuggly blankets. Those may be my favorite.

What a beautiful day yesterday for our daughter Emily’s maternity photos. A little sneak peek of the shoot. This photo is one of our favorites. She looks so natural and she glows! This is in Greenbrier just inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! The river is gorgeous and the sunlight coming in ❤️
