It's May 1st, and the camper is not covered in snow and our favorite camping spot is ready. So why are we not camping. Unfortunately sometimes life gets in the way of you doing what you want lol. But things are looking up. Home projects almost complete. Hopefully it won't be long now until we're enjoying our favorite spot.

Twelve years ago today, we brought our new travel trailer home from North Carolina. The drive home was filled with talks of all the adventures we were going to have. And while not as many as we would have liked, we've definitely enjoyed them all. So with our home improvement projects complete, we're looking forward to seeing where our little travel trailer takes us this year. 😊😊

HOME! It's always nice when you're trip to visit family gives you a good excuse to explore new places. We had a fantastic time. Camped in three states. Marked off another national park. And enjoyed seeing waterfalls and wildflowers on our walks. Now to unpack lol

Known as the Birthplace of the American Vertebrate Paleontology, it was the first site in North America to have an organized excavation in 1807. Fossilized remains of American Mastodon, Columbian Mammoth, and Giant Ground Sloths were first discovered at the site in 1739. During the Pleistocene Epoch, when ice covered much of North America, prehistoric animals were attracted to the plentiful salt springs that still bubble from the ground at Big Bone Lick. It was definitely a very interesting place to explore.
