Made it home safely from camping at our 19th Tennessee State Park. Had a good time exploring the park. And we were able to check out the waterfalls at two more state parks. This was definitely the most unique campsite we've ever had. You could feel the vibration sitting inside the camper when someone was walking on the deck. 😳 On the upside, you didn't have to work about dirt or rocks 😆

A feature at the park is this 60-foot tower that looks out over Center Hill Lake. The spiral staircase looked pretty cool from the bottom. With all the trees around, decided the view would be obstructed. At least that was the reason we gave ourselves for not climbing the 98 steps to the top lol

The Burgess Falls Dam was rebuilt in 1928 after flooding destroyed original dam. The dam is approximately 340 feet across and 40 feet high. And has seven uncontrolled spillway bays. The non-operational dam is now a landmark in the park. #

Pipeline Falls drops 15 feet over the rocky riverbed of Falling Water River. You can see the remnants of an old pipeline and suspension bridge. In the early 1900s, the pipeline carried water across the gorge to a hydroelectric powerhouse that supplied electricity to nearby Cookeville.

Completed in 1948, the dam is 240 feet high, 2160 feet long and impounds 64 miles of the Caney Fork River. They are in the process of replacing all eight aging spillway gates. You can drive across, but no stopping or walking.

The 75-foot waterfall plunges into a natural swimming pool in the waters of the Blackburn Fork State Scenic River. Lots of people swimming, so apparently worth the hike down. We were content to view from the overlook lol
