In a Catholic wedding, besides the normal Rite of Marriage, there are some ancient and beautiful symbolic traditions that you are able to partake in during your Nuptial Mass. I call it the “stuff” because one of the perks is that you and your newlywed will have some wonderfully Catholic “stuff” that was incorporated into the Rite of Marriage that you’ll be able to keep forever and ever! You’ll be able to look at it and remember the importance of marriage, and the role Christ has within that sacrificial relationship. It’s super awesome, just saying… So when Father asked my (then) fiance´ and I which traditions we wanted included in our wedding, we responded with two words. “The works”.
