In Alaska, bears congregate on the same rivers to fish. The best fishing spots in prime locations on River are covered by the most dominant and largest of bears. Mothers and cubs, adolescence, and lesser dominant bears fill in other spots in different areas. So when a bear enters the river and wants a prime fishing spot, they must enter with incredible confidence and displays of dominance. By walking in boldly, keeping their head up, ears perked, and stalking up river, less dominant bears will submit and yield space.
