day in the life: soaking up the end of this season.
our life changes holistically next week.
Dad is back to work.
Collin turns one.
We are officially out of our "baby era".
This baby era felt both eerily the same and yet so very different than my first go around. I was much more willing to understand collin's time and allow him to lead the way. Milestones were much more loose and made them much more enjoyable and exciting.
Homie still isn't walking yet... but as a second time mom... bro you can take your time. I don't need you into all of my stuff yet!
I want to memorize things about him more so than I imagined they'd be important with Coop. The little dimple knuckles, that baby hair, the sweet (n' sour)smells... it all is so fleeting and you don't realize it's over until it's a memory that you know isn't happening again.
I had told myself for the last month "ok you gotta do his one year pictures" over and over and over again and I just kept not doing it. whoops. Is this having a second child?
We were home with no plans this evening, just the three of us. So, we did our favorite evening routine- deer spotting. The sun was incredible tonight which felt like a real blessing in this very gray & wet summer so we sure took advantage.
Being mom has made me a better person, artist, and woman all around and I'm so thankful I've gotten the chance to do it with these two.
