How being a mom has changed my work
- I am far more patient with kiddos.
Point blank period- you don't know until you know. I wasn't around kids a ton before having my own, and I didn't understand how to work through the meltdowns that are inevitable. I feel like it makes a lot more sense to me now.
- I've slowed down.
My brain has always been my fastest moving body part, but being a mom has taught me to slow down. Taking more care with each step, I'm finding more joy & purpose in the smaller moments.
- I'm more observant.
Listen, mom brain is real, and I might not remember what I had for lunch or what's on my grocery list, but I feel so much more tuned in to the details. Watching your kiddo pick a flower, the way your husband brushes your hair from your face, or the way you laugh when your toddler does something silly, all feels far more important to me.
- I prioritize different shots.
New angles, new points of view, and activity based shooting has felt so much more important. I want to capture the shoot through the eyes of every member.

I can't wait to see where I'll be a few years from now.

when I reviewed this picture in camera, I had it in my head that I knew when I hit the computer, we'd be editing out that sweet little photo bomber.
After looking at it here in camera, I decided to leave it.
Because what it actually shows is a little boy who sees the love between his mom & dad.
It shows an example of love & marriage that can be emulated.
So, he's staying right here
