Opening my heart to you 🧡
I told my husband on a random Monday:
“I want to take some pictures with the baby…I barely have any photos with her.”
It had rained earlier that day, the heat was overwhelming, and honestly, it wasn’t the “perfect” moment. But even so, after work he took us, he grabbed my camera, and these photos happened.
And yes…I regretted it two or three times. I questioned whether the effort was really worth it. I didn’t feel my best, I was tired, and for a moment I thought about leaving it for another day.
But now I look at these photos…and I realize they were worth so much more than I imagined.
From the perspective of a photographer, I’ve always emphasized the importance of photos. Because photos freeze a moment, preserve a memory, and give life to something that will never happen in exactly the same way again.
Photography has this beautiful ability to transform the ordinary, the simple, and even the seemingly insignificant…into something eternal. Into a treasure that becomes even more valuable with time.
But now, from the perspective of a mother…whew.
The value has increased by 200%. 🥹
Now I don’t just want to capture every stage of my baby’s life…now I also want to be present in those memories.
I want my daughter to see her mom being a mom:
☼ Laughing with her
☼ Loving her
☼ Spoiling her
☼ Playing with her
☼ Hugging her, even knowing that one day she may not want as many hugs anymore 🥹
☼ And when she grows up, I want her to see that her mom was there through every stage and every moment of her life.
And I promised myself I would do this more often.
Because photos do matter.
Because when she grows up, I want her to look back and find her mom in everything.
Only a photographer has the ability to turn an ordinary moment into an extraordinary memory. And yes, phones are a blessing — and we’re thankful for them — but the art of a photographer goes far beyond taking a picture.
A photographer sees the world differently.
They turn emotions into art.
They turn seconds into everlasting memories.
So I just want to give you one piece of advice:
Prioritize what truly matters.
Book the photo session.
Set aside the day.
Make room for the memories.
Because the photos that may not seem so important today…tomorrow will be worth more than gold.
Because today is the youngest my daughter will ever be again.
From tomorrow on, she’ll keep growing, she’ll keep changing…and I want to remember every stage alongside her.
I suggest you do the same 🤍
With love,
