Here's picture #5 in our "Immersion" series. it's an interior picture this time of Castel Sant'Angelo(https://maps.app.goo.gl/tgvdDCGEsXNh6DPN8) in Parco Adriano, Rome, Italy. It was initially commissioned as a mausoleum and the popes later used the building as a fortress and castle, and it is now a museum. The structure was once the tallest building in Rome.

4th on the "Immersion" series is Burno Islands off the coast of Venice, Italy. Burano is an island of Venice, famous for its lace and colored houses. quite a few Bollywood and Tamil movies have emulated these islands through sets 😊

3rd on the "Immersion" series is the Colosseum, Roma. The first thing that strikes you when you first see it is the sheer effort and will power it took with the technology of their times to create something this massive and intricate. I have a detailed high res picture of this taken completely from my phone, but that's for another day :)

Continuing the "Immersion" Series with the second image😊

This one is from the center of the Piazza San Pietro (commonly known as St. Peter's Square) in the heart of the Vatican. At the center of the square is the Vatican obelisk, an ancient Egyptian obelisk erected at the current site in 1586. Gian Lorenzo Bernini designed the square almost 100 years later, including the massive Tuscan colonnades four columns deep, which embrace visitors in "the maternal arms of Mother Church".

This was a surreal experience visiting a city with so much historical, cultural and religious significance.
