"The Last Shift"

The Last Shift is a black-and-white fine art photograph created at the remains of an old textile mill in Erwin, North Carolina, once part of a powerful Southern manufacturing landscape. The towering smokestacks, weathered brick, broken industrial windows, corrugated metal, and massive silos speak to an era when factories shaped the rhythm of entire towns.

Against that monumental architecture stands a solitary woman dressed in black. Small in scale yet impossible to ignore, she introduces a human presence into a landscape dominated by machinery, geometry, and memory.
