“The biggest lesson I learned at CST was that helping and encouraging others is far more important than trying to outperform everyone. In my opinion, you’re only as strong as your weakest link.”
Most Challenging Part
“The mental aspect was the hardest. Being constantly sleep-deprived and hungry takes a toll on you, but going through it with friends who are experiencing the same challenges makes you laugh, stay motivated, and appreciate the people around you.”
Advice for Future Cadets
“Be a team player and make as many friends as you can. Even though you’re being evaluated individually, your squad is all you have. When you support each other, morale improves, and the entire experience becomes much more rewarding.”
As he continues his summer training, CDT Trejo will head directly to Airborne School to take on his next challenge.
