I missed it yesterday. 🌙

I went to Portsmouth, New Hampshire to photograph the crescent moonrise over the Wood Island Life-Saving Station, with Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse in the frame. I got the lighthouse perfectly sharp, but when I tried to blend it with my moon frames, it looked awful.

So I went back this morning. This time the moon rose an hour later, giving me the first light of sunrise in the background.

One frame. Minor adjustments. No blending. ✨
