Adam Silverman is a jaw droppingly amazing photographer and since I was up in his territory I wanted to explore some new places. His recent sunflower field pictures were drool worthy so I drove mostly to Canada to find them. They were dead. Go check his out.

How close do you have to look before the ordinary turns extraordinary? I found out along the Shining Sea Bikeway in Falmouth, MA last month. A Common Yellowthroat warbler feeding her fledgling in the cedars, lit up gold by the sunrise. 🌅🐦💛 ”

Another one from Parlee Farms

I’ve been trying to get to a pretty flower field for a while to see some pretty birds. A quick google search lead me to Parlee Farm in Tewskbury. I was envisioning a small road pull off with a trail along a field of flowers. Turns out it’s a very large farm/orchard. Luckily I was there on a weekday because I can imagine it’s mobbed on the weekend. The flower fields with zinnia currently blooming (sunflowers coming soon) were massive. There were American Goldfinches and hummingbirds galore. That doesn’t men they are easy to photograph.

I ran into Fleur De Kate also prowling around. Nice to meet you!

I spent about two hours standing in the sun and intently observing where they all were flying and landing. I could have stayed longer but I wanted to beat traffic getting home. I made my way back to my car but not before I got some pulled pork Mac and cheese and blueberry crisp. The farm store and take out window were so good! Lots of farm animals for the kids to see too.
