Part two "Divine intervention" trying to find a vehicle either with them the payoff amount from insurance or $6,000 total seemed insurmountable. So Ted and I were praying a lot. I know all of our friends were praying as well. Finally I said well, God what do you want me to do. And I got a picture in my mind of Wade Simon I knew him from City politics I've been in and he liked my photos on Facebook he and his wife are just really good people. So I decided since he came to mind I would go and visit him at Martin Swanty. We told Wade what we needed and what our budget was he had a car that he would bring up from Havasu that might work. Plus he said he would put out the word that we needed a decent car for a low price. And he told us he was praying for us to get what we needed. Next day we saw the car that he brought up from Havasu and he was apologetic because no one realized it was a manual transmission and I can't do that because of the nerve damage I have. I was like why would I yell at somebody who is only trying to help us. He said not to worry there's a plan b. He said Mr Phillips is looking at this as community service so let me bring up the car. Pretty sure that there's been a mistake when I see the car. It's a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. I am midsize SUV. Perfect for us. I think I'm dreaming. But no this was plan b. I asked to go for a test drive and we did. I chose a deserted road. And I warned Wade I was going to really test the car. (Within reason of course). I put it through a series of stop starts acceleration prolonged and short. It handled like a dream. The catch turned out not to be a catch after all. They could not qualify it for finance did too high mileage. However the mileage on the engine was low. This car was immaculate. Between my State farm payment for the ruined car I was going to have to come up with a balance. We did manage to come up with a balance. After all everyone concerned in this deal had been praying and God didn't answer the prayers. So we were sitting at Wade's Simon's desk at Martin Swanty ( Cody Swanty OG ) and he said Mr Phillips the sales manager had come up with a really good deal. I asked Rodney Phillips. And Wade Simon said yes. I started to cry. At this point I was too overwhelmed. Rodney had worked for a different car dealer back when I had my truck and had taken good care of me in the service department. Back then I was a nightmare living in a war zone. I knew too emotions grief and hostility. But he always was Fair to me. It was like being surrounded by friends at that dealership. People who actually cared and wanted to find us what we could afford. No judgments no looks no trying to get more out of this than we could afford. No looking at us like we were too poor to talk to. It was actually like dealing with friends and neighbors. It was the best car buying experience I've ever had. They had actually prayed for us, Rodney and Wade. Prayers were answered and two days later I have the balance of the cash deal and we went home with the car. The car is literally smarter than I am. It's going to take a while to figure out everything. I feel like I'm in Knight Rider except that it doesn't carry on a conversation with me. And yes I'm showing my age. Ted and I were truly blessed by that trip to Martin Swanty's and yes Ted was with me and we settled on it together. Never have I been in a car dealership other than Martin Swanty that was so down to earth and christ-centered right down to the finance department. Clint was absolutely wonderful to work with. Get the idea that I couldn't say better about that place or its people? They did not just talk the talk there. They walk it. I'm truly impressed. So if you need a car and you have a budget go see Wade Simon. Their staff there will take good care of you.
