Some days I’m not sure if I’m raising my own daughter or just a clone of my grandmother. She’s absolutely magnetic and she draws people in with her laugh and her smile and her ridiculous sense of humor. I have a daughter but I also have an old soul that knows a slow morning is the best medicine. She is a gift, she is the arrow.

Wedding season kicked off for me this weekend with an absolutely epic York Harbor wedding. The weather was spectacular and although nervous the bride was absolutely stunning. The bar has been set very, very high.

I just adore her. She is all the love and joy and wonder in the world. The universe and all of time just lays down at her feet. How lucky am I to spend these years watching her learn and grow? I am always thinking of the poem by Kahlil Gibran “Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.”
I hope I am always aspiring to be more like my children ❤️

This family made my evening, so good for the soul to have time at the river with a camera ✨

One of my favorite places to take photos is the Wire Bridge in New Portland, just a mile from my home something about this spot brings out the relaxed beauty in people that I strive to capture as my legacy for the future. The river feels like home.

Spent some time with my favorite people today watching them work their craft, and this is how the afternoon started... Within minutes from lighting a fire all things are boiling and steaming and a truck is cruising back and forth picking up sap. The kids were drinking the sugar water of the maples right out of the tree and the gentle flow of sap down the mountains could be heard if you stopped long enough to listen.
