Working for Scorpions. What a night. What a privilege!
Last year I had the incredible honor of photographing as they headlined in São Paulo at Allianz Park— a show that still gives me chills when I look back at it.
The first shot takes you right onto the stage, behind the kit, staring out at a sea of thousands. There’s something electric about being positioned in that spot, watching the entire stadium move to every beat. The following images pull you into the full scale of the production — the lights, the reflections, the energy, the band giving everything they have, and the audience sending it right back.
What many people don’t see is that a show of this magnitude isn’t just about the artists on stage. It’s about the hundreds of people behind the scenes who make every second possible: audio engineers, riggers, lighting designers, stage techs, production crews, tour managers, local staff, and so many more. Every person contributes to creating the magic that unfolds in front of the crowd.
For me, having carte blanche access throughout the entire performance was an absolute dream. From backstage moments to front‑of‑house views, from the wings to the heart of the action, I was able to document the show from every angle — capturing not just the spectacle, but the story.
Covering the full experience for Scorpions at Monsters of Rock was one of those rare assignments where passion, artistry, and opportunity all collide. Grateful for every second of it. 🙏
