Some sessions come together months in advance…and some happen last-minute. A + S happened to be in the Outer Banks while I was there photographing other sessions last summer, and somehow our schedules lined up perfectly.

When we started planning, they told me they wanted something simple and classic. No trendy poses, no motion blur, no overcomplicated concepts. Just photos that would still feel like them years from now.

As if the morning couldn’t have been any better, we were greeted with one of the most incredible sunrises I’ve ever witnessed. The sky kept changing every few minutes, painting the ocean in soft pinks, peaches, and blues. Looking back at these photos almost a year later still makes me smile. I can’t wait to be back on the coast next week for some sessions. This time, South Carolina!

Today marks the anniversary of marriage equality becoming law in the United States, and it felt like the perfect day to share Bria + Adrianna’s engagement session. In a little over a year, these two will get married surrounded by the water and the people they love. A milestone that a little over a decade ago wasn’t legally possible.

I’ve had the privilege of knowing Bria since 2019, when I photographed her high school senior photos. And I met Adrianna in 2023 during Bria’s college graduation photos. Getting to watch your story unfold from there has been such a gift. I’ve grown to love you both so much over the years, and I still can’t believe I’ll be the one photographing your wedding next October. Counting down the days until you two are in-front of my camera getting married at ⚓️

I’ve always loved photographing engagement sessions in New York because there’s something about the city that gives you permission to slow down. And I know what you’re thinking…you’d think a place with millions of people, lots of traffic, and the constant sounds would feel chaotic. But somehow, when you’re with the right person, it all fades into the background.

I hardly had to pose Anastasia and Ben. Anastasia actually lives in the city, so she showed us around her favorite spots to walk to after work. They both walked hand in hand, made each other laugh, and got completely lost in their own little world while the everything kept moving around them. Not to mention, we came on a gloomy day that kept some people inside. The city felt a little more quiet than usual.

This is just part one of their engagement session. Part two coming soon 🛶

2027 seniors are now entering the chat! We did a beach photoshoot inspired by and her summer music. I am obsessed with how it turned out and all these fun colors to get them excited for senior year 🌺🌴🌊

Morgan and Riley’s engagement session from last fall was the perfect mix of outdoor portraits and time inside the To***co Company in Richmond, Virginia. I love playing with both flash and natural light during engagement sessions because it gives your gallery so much variety and a little glimpse of what your wedding portraits can look like, especially if we’re shooting inside your venue!

I’ll be back with these two in July at with for a beautiful poolside ceremony at the estate 🍸✨

I met Lexie of last November at Rust Manor House () and fell in love with her and her team. When she reached out about a rebrand and new headshots for Pannuto Events, I was immediately in. Not to mention, honored she asked me to do them!

There’s something really special about working with someone who pours so much intention into every detail. From the way they design spaces to how they care for their couples. That kind of heart deserves to be seen, and this rebrand feels exactly like that. Big things are coming for Lexie, her team she’s built, and her brand. I’m so grateful I got to be a part of it ✨

I love when couples choose to do a second, more casual outfit for their engagement session. Add in the planes flying overhead at Gravelly Point, and suddenly it’s not just simple photos anymore. For Kerry and Austin, it’s a memory from a place that already means so much to them. A spot they’ve spent time at, been on dates at, and now get to remember forever from their session ✈️
