Thrilled beyond words!!! I submitted images for consideration for the January copy of Shutter magazine with high hopes for once again being published. Not seeing a response, I assumed that my images didn't make the grade. What a thrill when I opened the mailbox, paged through the glamour issue to find a photo from my recent shoot with the stunning Natalee Nowak-roddy!

I went immediately back to my email and dug through spam and promotional folders to find the publication notice that had been filtered off, where I hadn't expected... I cannot thank Sal, Alissa, and the entire team behind Shutter magazine enough for this honor! Can't wait for Shutterfest 2019! Thanks to you all!

My deepest thanks too, to Natalee for taking a chance and shooting with me! We created some great images and to be published like this is no small accomplishment!

Thanks too to those who follow and support my work! Your time and attention truly means a great deal! Thank you all!

I have not posted here in a while, frankly favoring Instagram of late. I will be posting here more often though so keep watch for future posts. I've been experimenting with with a few alternate processing techniques and below is an example. Natalee was an absolute joy to work with and an absolute natural! We churned out some wonderful images! I can't wait to work with her again!

Hello Everyone!

I have some exciting news to share with you all. I recently received word that two of my images were accepted by Behind The Shutter (Shutter Magazine) to be featured in their January 2018 Glamour issue!!!

I'm finally a PUBLISHED PHOTOGRAPHER!!!

It's virtually every photographer's dream to reach a point where their work is deemed worthy of print or to be published. I still have SO much to learn! Photography is in my opinion not a destination, it is a journey. You never make it "there" as you are constantly trying to get "there"; to constantly improve, refine, evolve, and grow.

I can't thank Sal Cincotta and Alissa Zimmerman enough for this amazing opportunity!!! I am beyond humbled, flattered, and honored.

I must also thank the lovely, talented, and radiant Alison Bowles for her amazing dedication during a very cold and windy airport shoot! I truly hope to work with her again this year! (Hint, hint, Alison!) :)

My thanks also to Srinath Kota for allowing me to join him on this fashion/glamour shoot!

Thanks also to my good friend, Mark D Goodwin, for lighting assistance!!

These images were a team effort, came out very well, and I truly appreciate everyone's collaboration!

After much begging from my son, we opted to go for a hike this afternoon. Knowing that I had a new lens I couldn't wait to try out, I conceded to his "demands". We had a great hike and I couldn't be happier with my new lens. Kudos and thanks to Creve Coeur Camera for hooking me up with my 500mm lens. Thus far, I love it! Prime lenses are amazing and I love Canon's glass!

While this is certainly not a traditional senior photo, I sometimes like to experiment with different processing techniques. It allows me to scratch that creative itch and branch out beyond the typical. This sometimes leads to effects that I may incoroprate later into my processing workflow if though to a more subtle degree. Thanks for stopping by to check out my newest gallery addition.

Another image from the recent workshop with Creve Coeur Camera. Please show some love to the lovely Stella Noir!!! She really did a fantastic job modelling here with the WWII B-25 Mitchell "Show Me" from the Commemorative Air Force Missouri Wing. Those who know me, know that I am a lifelong aviation fan. I rarely miss a local air show. I am also a history buff and have also been fascinated with the era of WWII. I can't thank the team at Creve Coeur Camera enough for the rare opportunity to shoot this modeling session with exhibits from the Commemorative Air Force Missouri Wing! The B-25 Mitchell bomber "Show Me" has been a favorite of mine since seeing it for the first time at a local air show as a boy. You NEVER get this kind of access at air shows and this outing was amazing! A HUGE thanks to the staff at the Commemorative Air Force Missouri Wing for accommodating us and for their dedication and hard work preserving these pieces of living history! AND I can't leave out thanking the wonderful Jessie Budahl!!! She was a real trooper to work with and was nothing but endless smiles!

Work has been rather consuming lately and the family has been focusing on back to school so we're all adjusting to new schedules (and the return of homework). That's left me with less time of late for editing photos. I'm however on the cusp of scheduling more photo sessions so there will be more images coming soon.

Fall is my favorite time for photography! Hopefully we have some vivid fall colors this season!
