A little reminder that you don’t have to be home to have your family memories photographed. 🤍📸

While on vacation together, I took the opportunity to step out from behind the camera and capture some special memories of my own family and my husband’s family. Having everyone together, soaking up the vacation, laughing, and making memories made these photos even more meaningful. 🥹

There was something so incredibly special about this family session. 🤍

When this beautiful family asked if we could incorporate their Bible into their photos, my heart was immediately touched. There was something so meaningful about being invited to capture not just their family, but a piece of what is so deeply important to them—their faith, their love, and the foundation they are building their family on. 📖🤍

A Bible may look like just a book in a photograph, but to this family, it represents so much more. It represents faith, hope, love, guidance, and the values they hold close. And being able to preserve that alongside the people they love most made this session feel incredibly personal and meaningful to me.

As a photographer, I love capturing the little pieces of a family that tell their story. And this was one of those moments that reminded me just how beautiful and valuable that can be.

Growing Up Too Fast 🤍

Getting to take my younger cousin’s senior pictures feels a little surreal. 🥹🤍

I remember watching you grow up, and now somehow I’m behind the camera capturing this chapter of your life. It’s crazy how quickly the years go by. One minute you’re the little kid I watched growing up, and the next you’re graduating and stepping into the next big adventure. 🥹🎓

I’m so proud of the person you’ve become, and I’m even more honored that I got to capture this special season for you. 📸✨

Okay, so apparently the photographer’s own family gets the same treatment as the carpenter’s house… 😂

You know the saying, “The carpenter’s house is always the last one to get finished”? Well… the photographer’s family is apparently the last one to get photographed. 😅📸

I shared these on my personal page forever ago, but somehow NEVER shared them here — and honestly, that feels criminal. 🤍

This daddy-daughter session with Kinsley & Matthew was one of those sessions that just felt like them. No fancy posing, no trying to make them be something they weren’t… just Dad and his girl, fishing, laughing, and doing what they love in their own little world. 🎣🤍

And THIS is exactly why I will always say photos matter.

Dads, I know you’re usually the one saying, “We have plenty of pictures.” 😂
But one day, she’s going to want to remember what it felt like to stand beside you. What your hands looked like. The way you taught her things. The little moments you probably didn’t even realize were worth remembering.

They are.

You don’t need a special occasion. You don’t need everyone dressed perfectly. You don’t even need to love being in front of the camera.

Just show up. Let me capture you in your element. 🤍

Because someday, these “just another fishing day” photos are going to mean everything. 🎣📸
