Hot take on engagement sessions 💍
Are they worth it? Do you really need one? And what the heck are you supposed to do for an entire session in front of a camera?
First things first: you don’t need to know how to pose, and you definitely don’t need to spend the whole session awkwardly smiling at the camera.
Engagement sessions are a chance for us to get to know each other, get you comfortable in front of my camera, and create photos that feel like YOU. We can explore a favorite trail, hang out at the spot where you had your first date, bring your dog along, or just spend some time laughing together.
They’re also a great way to get photos for your save-the-dates, wedding website, or frames around your house (because we all need more photos together that aren’t selfies, right?!).
And when your wedding day rolls around, you’ll already know what it’s like to have me around with a camera, which means one less thing to think about.
Are engagement sessions a must? Nope! But if you want photos that feel natural, a little time together away from the wedding-planning chaos, and a chance to get comfortable before the big day, I’d say they’re pretty darn worth it.
Planning a wedding or elopement in Vermont or New England? I’m your gal. Let’s make some photos that feel like you. 🤍
