About a year and a half ago, I traveled to Taiwan to bring my youngest daughter home. I planned to jump right back into photography, but things got busy. It started with an appointment to get one of my little humans new hearing aids and spiraled into a whole year of appointments for all of them. Everything was minor, but even minor can be time consuming.

All that to say that I didn’t completely disappear, I just scaled back. Way back.

I just got my planner for 2023 and (brace yourself) there are many weeks that are completely blank.

I’m back.

I left off posting sometime before I traveled so here’s a summary (Is that the right word?) of some of the shoots I never shared.

I’m looking forward to getting behind my camera again!

One of my favorite things about doing this project has been getting to catch some of these sweet sibling moments.

I wish I could gift everyone with the ability to see people with Down syndrome the way their siblings do.

Isn't Sabine just lovely? I enjoyed our session so much.

Not only is she gorgeous, but she loves math and her favorite author is Raina Telgemeier. She did a little ballet for me and just basically came completely model ready.

THIS IS CHARLOTTE!!!!

Oh my goodness, you guys! I just love her! She's completely beautiful. Her laugh is infectious and she has the funniest sense of humor. She posed and had hair and outfit changes (Ummm...Charlotte's parents rock!).

She is absolutely one of the most fun people I've ever met. She pretty much laughed through the whole shoot. We danced barefoot on the trail and sang to TayTay (22) and Katy Perry (Roar). When it was all done I told her to never ever change her personality.

So, this is Harrison, everyone!!! He's such a fun little guy--so full of adventure. He's also completely adorable. Look at those eyes (also, the crossed eyes one 😂)! I had the best time getting to know his mom and siblings at his session. They are all just so sweet.❤️
