Today is National Rainbow Baby Day 🌈

A rainbow baby is a little one born after the loss of a baby, and today we honor the families who have experienced that kind of loss while celebrating the beautiful babies who came after.

As a photographer, I know that every family has a story that you may not see behind the smiles in their photos. Some little ones are here after years of hoping, grieving, waiting, and praying. Their existence doesn’t erase the babies who came before them, and celebrating them doesn’t mean forgetting.

And today, I want to celebrate my own rainbow baby.

You came after a loss that changed our family forever. While your presence could never replace the baby we lost, you brought a kind of joy and love that I will forever be grateful for. I carry both the love for the baby we lost and the love I have for you, always.

To all the rainbow babies, you are so deeply loved.

And to the parents carrying both joy and grief in their hearts today, I see you. Your babies matter. Your stories matter. Your love for them matters.

Here’s to the little rainbows who bring light after the storm. 🌈✨

ugh, another not so fun post y’all 😩

I recently received a negative review from someone I genuinely do not recognize and have absolutely no record of ever communicating or working with. I went through my messages and client records to make sure I wasn’t missing something, and I cannot find any booking, conversation, invoice, or interaction with this person.

What makes this situation even more confusing is that I tried to reach out and figure out what happened, but I’m unable to contact this person through Messenger. I would genuinely love the opportunity to understand where this review is coming from, especially since I have no record of ever communicating or working with them.

I am ALWAYS open to honest feedback from people I have actually worked with. Not every experience is going to be perfect, and if something went wrong, I genuinely want to know so I can listen, learn, and make things right when possible.

I’m not perfect, and I know that. I’m human, and mistakes can happen. I’m always willing to take accountability when I’ve made a mistake and listen when someone has a genuine concern. I never expect every client to have a perfect experience, but I do believe in giving people the opportunity to communicate with me so I can understand what happened and, when possible, make it right.

I want to be transparent because reviews are incredibly important to a small business. If I have never spoken to you, booked with you, photographed you, or provided you with a service, I’m not really sure how an accurate review of my business can be given.

If we HAVE worked together, please feel free to leave me an honest review! Whether you had an amazing experience or there are things you think I could improve on, your feedback genuinely helps me and helps future clients know what to expect when booking with me.

And if this review was somehow meant for another business, I truly hope it can be corrected or removed.

I love what I do and I put so much time, effort, and heart into this business. I’m not expecting every single person to love everything I do, but I do believe reviews should come from genuine experiences!

A little business housekeeping!

I just wanted to address a few things because I know there can sometimes be confusion when it comes to booking and communication.

Lately, I’ve had quite a few people reach out, have full conversations with me about their session, ask questions, discuss dates/details, and then once it’s time for me to send the invoice… crickets. 😂

I completely understand that plans change, you may decide not to book, or something may come up. That is totally okay! I would much rather you simply tell me that than leave me hanging.

When you inquire with me, I’m taking time away from editing, shooting, my family, etc. to answer questions, check availability, create invoices, and get everything set up for you.

You are NEVER obligated to book with me, but please respect my time enough to communicate if you’ve changed your mind. A simple “I’m going to pass for now” is completely okay. 🤍

Also, please remember that discussing a date does NOT mean your session is booked. Your date is officially secured once your invoice/retainer has been paid.

I appreciate every single person who supports my little business, and I’m always happy to answer questions! I just want to make sure we’re respecting each other’s time on both ends.
