It felt like the kind of love people write songs about when they’re trying to remember who they used to be.

Wild and young and a little reckless.
Laughing with their whole chest.
Jumping in fully clothed.
Holding onto each other like the night wasn’t allowed to end yet.

Still surreal seeing my work published internationally by Gallery Lane Magazine in Australia. 🥹✨

This image feels so deeply representative of the kind of stories I want to tell, movement, emotion, connection, nostalgia, real life unfolding naturally in front of me.

As a photographer, especially one building something from scratch while raising babies, balancing life, learning constantly, doubting yourself sometimes, pouring your heart into your art when no one is watching… moments like this feel really emotional.

A little piece of Texas made its way to Australia and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful. 🤍

why do activities make sessions feel more alive?

because experiences create emotion naturally.

when people are walking, playing, exploring, eating, talking, laughing, or simply doing something together, they stop thinking so much about the camera.

children stay engaged. couples interact naturally. families fall into rhythm with each other instead of performing for a photograph.

and that’s usually when the real moments show up.

the experience creates the emotion.
the emotion creates the photograph.

hi, i’m hunter. 🤍

motherhood.
nostalgia.
movement.
film grain.
messy kitchens.
honey skies.
borrowed lipstick.
windblown hair.
belly laughs.
the sacred ordinary.
the in-between.
old photographs.
little hands.
stories that feel like memories.
the beautifully lived-in.

i think that’s probably the easiest way to explain both me and my work.

i’m really glad you’re here.

xo, hunter bee 🤍

More running through fields in your wedding clothes.

Some days this business looks like editing galleries at 2am with a baby on my chest.
Some days it looks like answering inquiries one handed while making breakfast for three kids.
Some days it looks like doubting myself entirely while still showing up anyway.

Behind every session is a mom trying to hold a thousand moving pieces together.

Military life has taught me how to carry a lot alone. Sleepless nights, solo parenting through deployment, building a business during nap times and chaos and exhaustion. Trying to create art while also trying to keep everyone fed, loved, regulated, and okay.

And if I’m honest? I second guess myself constantly.
My work. My value. Whether I’m “good enough” to take up space in an industry full of people who seem so much more confident.

But I keep showing up anyway.

Because this business was built in the middle of survival.
In the middle of motherhood.
In the middle of becoming someone stronger than I ever planned to be.

So if you’re seeing the photos, just know there’s so much unseen work behind them. So much heart behind them.

And maybe that’s why I care so deeply about documenting real life, because I know how heavy and beautiful it can be all at once.

This trip changed something in me.

This trip wasn’t just work.
It was presence.
It was observing.
It was holding someone else’s once-in-a-lifetime moments while carrying my own.

I didn’t rush.
I didn’t pose the city.
I let it unfold.

And somewhere between subway steps, cold hands, and borrowed light,
I remembered how alive this kind of storytelling makes me feel.

I’m still here for the everyday … the local, the familiar, the now.

But I’m also listening closely to the pull toward something more lived-in.
The kind of work that feels like third-wheeling life for a little while
and leaving with a story instead of just a gallery.

I don’t have all the words yet.
Just the knowing.
